It was something of an all purpose role, consisting of waiting tables, cleaning pots, physical labour, and more. In this role, I learned how to operate under pressure, given whenever we had a large influx of customers. I’ve also further learnt how to operate under a lack of availability, considering that sometimes we would not have enough staff for the shift at hand. However, most importantly I learnt how to offer very detailed and efficient customer service that has led to an improvement of reputation. Whether this be through word of mouth in the local area or positive reviews online. Further below is a list of additional criteria of the role:

• Assisted in food preparation, resulting in timely service delivery.
• Accommodated special dietary requests, enhancing customer dining experience.
• Relayed feedback from customers to management for continuous improvement.
• Handled payment transactions to guarantee smooth customer checkout process.
• Warmly greeted guests upon arrival to create welcoming atmosphere.
• Cleaned, sanitised and organised food storage racks and bins, maintaining exceptional hygiene standards.
• Managed restaurant closing duties, from cleaning dining areas to cashing up tills.

This role further developed my skills in a physical context, furthermore it increasingly developed my customer service skills. It was sporadic employment that entailed various roles whether that being the aforementioned groundskeeping or officiating polo games where I had been the third umpire on several occasions. Below are a list of further skills developed:

• Worked in all weather conditions to ensure task completion on time.
• Managed early morning duties including dew brushing or frost removal, allowing for uninterrupted use of sports pitches during official hours.
• Repaired minor damages to fences or pathways, ensuring visitor safety at all times.
• Operated machinery like lawn mowers or leaf blowers, achieving a well-groomed look for the park grounds.
