Work Summary

During my time at Phoenix Gas during the past 9 years my career here stemmed across multiple fields of the business where, from when i started as a beginner in the business admin field as an apprentice back in 2017 i have adapted to changes across the business where i have changed my roles numerous times and been a part of many different parts of the business, from Planning, Surveying, Designing and now Project Co-ordinating where i have adapted to all of these roles to make me better suited for my role now and for what lies in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Servicing Planner - From when i started in 2017, i was taken on as a business administrator apprentice, where It was here where i was taught new skills and abilities, ranging from customer service, planning, organisation and key team skills that were used to reach our targets as a team and deliver the target number for the servicing contract within a set timescale. With the introduction of the clients new System - DRS, which was the first big jump into a new Intranet system introduced in 2018 which has been used till this day, serving as the main hub for their planning and data organising till this day. It was here too where the company was first introduced to its first main intranet system and mobile app program - Logon, with which it was later adapted into with Plentific, which has been used across the servicing & repair team at the business since 2018 to 2025.
  • Installations Admin - Several years i was then put on the Installation team where i worked on planning, organising surveys, ordering materials, booking in Oil tank removals, scaffolds and dealing with with potential issues that needed resolving before installations there can commence. Here you demonstrated key organisation skills to meet deadlines, working with data and figures to create invoices and customer packages for customers , flag up issues on surveys and installs using problem solving skills to resolve and issues that may cause disruption to the install. It was also here through several contracts that i learned more on the side of PAShub, ECO funding schemes and how to provide compliant documents to meet contract requirements, it is also here where i got more of a taste of the on-site ordeals through carrying out my own surveys and shadowing installers when they were undertaking installs allowing me to understand more of what goes on "in the field".
  • PAShub Coordination/ Designer - After 2 years of being a part of the installs team, i was then later moved over to the Renewables team, where, i was mainly in charge of taking care of the PAS contracts and was responsible with designing the ASHP & Solar PV Systems using third party designers such as Greenpro, Daikin & Easy PV with me being able to identify each part of what is required on each type of job and order the required items that are unique to every job.
  • Project Co-ordinator - For over the past 2 years now i have been responsible with taking care of the new operating systems that have been introduced into the business along with assist users with existing systems, spreadsheets, engineer software issues and other on-going projects. Our new addition to this, Propeller, now encapsulates every part of our business and is set to become the companies main Intranet hub for every dealing in the business, from planning, invoicing to KPI reporting with the system being needed to be rolled out to each department of the business which has taken precious time and resources to organise and set up, with improvements to both the system and user understanding improving by the day. It is my responsibility to ensure Propeller's users needs for the system are met with development requests being dispensed to the development team when new changes are required or by me adding/ adapting changes to the system to help benefit and make certain users lives easier and allow better use of the system.

Key Achievements

  • Key Planning with achieved satisfactory figures for amount of jobs serviced on our servicing Contracts
  • Formed a new Installation team based in Oldbury which was responsible with the installation of jobs on PAS and Eco funded contracts that helped achieve heating and hot water on free grant schemes for 100's of customers where i worked against the clock to reach target deadlines within a set timescale.
  • Surveyed & Designed new ASHP/ Solar PV & Boiler systems for installation at new homes as part of grant schemes or FTCH (First time central heating) contracts
  • Introduction to a new DRS system across our clients base which was introduced to us as contractors where i learned the ropes of the system and feeded that info into training everyone else at our business for them to better understand the system along with train the engineers on the new apps use and getting everyone used to using the digital system over paper use.
  • Introduced our First company wide system (Logon & Plentific) to our engineers and staff, with which i was the first user and trainer for this app which was then trained and dispensed out to our engineers and staff members which was later adapted across the business.
  • Improved and made us of IT Skills, where i have learned a good deal of formulas and how to implement spreadsheets to provide key data that has been required for use across the business through Data analysing or collecting, with which i am always asked to assist colleagues where needed with spreadsheets or either basic/ Advanced IT requirements, from Mobile phone issues, Internet issues, devices or Technical support, from repairing PC's on a technical point or through software.
  • Been part of the main project team to help develop and introduce our newest Company wide intranet system, Propeller across the business, with development requirements, forms, pricing grids, materials and key information being dragged from opposing systems and introduced into Propeller with our team members being introduced and trained on propellers use along with provide all necessary training for the engineers/ on-site users who's feedback i have noted and proclaimed to Propellers development team or for my own in order to make the needed changes possible to make use easier for everyone across the business and drive efficiency for work up, instead of cause hinderence.
