As a Senior Assistant Technical Officer at London Ambulance Service (LAS), I bring a wealth of experience and a robust skill set to effectively support both clinical and non-clinical aspects of the Logistics Support Unit. Holding a master’s degree in Engineering Projects and Systems Management from Kingston University, I have honed my ability to apply engineering principles and methodologies to intricate interdisciplinary projects and systems.
My educational background has been complemented by certifications in Construction Skills Certification Scheme Academically Qualified, Persom, Nebosh HSW, Project Management Foundation, Supply Chain Management, and Finance Management Foundation. These certifications, coupled with my practical experience, have fortified my proficiency in health and safety, problem-solving, and communication – qualities I have consistently demonstrated throughout my career.
During my academic tenure, I undertook four thesis projects, which furnished me with hands-on experience in quality assurance, engineering, procurement, planning and controls, construction management, safety, and schedule objectives. Additionally, I am adept at maintaining and updating project execution plans, as well as daily project diaries and logs.
My communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with my aptitude for quick learning, organisational prowess, and effective time management, enable me to excel in dynamic work environments. Hence, I am eager to leverage my diverse skill set and experiences in a role that aligns with my background and aspirations.
Therefore, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to your compaany, where I can apply my expertise to drive impactful strategies and support the company's objectives with excellence and dedication.
During my postgraduate studies, I conducted a comprehensive investigation into the impact of health and safety legislation on the well-being of employees in the manufacturing industry. Specifically, my project focused on assessing the health and safety conditions within a manufacturing company to ensure compliance with United Kingdom legislation.
Industrial accidents, physical injuries, material losses, and associated health issues pose significant social, human, and financial burdens on both individuals and organisations worldwide. Recognising the imperative to mitigate these risks, I delved into the practical implications of health and safety regulations, aiming to enhance workplace safety and minimize adverse incidents.
My research methodology involved administering a survey comprising pertinent questions to employees at a furniture carpentry manufacturing company. Through face-to-face interactions, I gathered data, meticulously analyzed random parameters, and meticulously documented survey results.
Ultimately, my project culminated in the successful completion of my master's degree, underscoring my commitment to advancing knowledge and practice in the field of health and safety management within the manufacturing sector.
