During this period, while I was still working as a waitress, I took on multiple roles and gained valuable experience in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations. This gave me a strong understanding of each department and how they work together. I developed hands-on experience in kitchen operations, food preparation, and service, all while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Balancing both roles helped me build strong leadership and teamwork skills, as it allowed me to appreciate the different responsibilities, challenges, and perspectives within each area.

I assisted chefs across various kitchen sections and supported the daily preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and sauce making. I practiced and improved my knife skills while helping to organise and prepare the kitchen for service. These hands-on tasks gave me a deeper understanding of kitchen operations and strengthened my ability to work efficiently and safely in a high-pressure environment.
