- 6 month work experience placement in a year one class where I worked closely with students whilst providing support for the teacher.
- This invaluable opportunity allowed me to gain hands on experience in the field of education and develop essential skills in working with young learners.
- I provided one on one support to students who needed extra guidance, ensuring they understood concepts and materials.
- Within the class there were children with special educational needs, (SEN) and I had the opportunity to work with those children and their one to one teachers to learn about the importance of inclusion and differentiating the learning and environment to meet the needs of all individual children within the class.
- One of the biggest lessons I have learned from my work experience, is to treat everyone, regardless of age, race, religion, ability, sexuality or gender with unconditional, positive regard and that the safety and wellbeing of anyone within my care is of the upmost priority.
