Shadowing a recorder at the Crown Court for a week allowed me to gain a more in-depth perspective into the workings of the Criminal Justice System. It gave me a new perception of relevant social and legal issues.
Shadowing a child care solicitor for a week gave me a better perspective on Family Law and the relevant duties of a child care solicitor representing guardians travelling around Wales.
Part of the school newspaper, Mon.versation: I am in charge of the Economics and Business Column every month writing short recaps of relevant economic events that occur each month for other students and teachers to read and keep a current outlook. It has helped me develop communication and teamwork skills as we work together as a team through the different schools and year groups.
A trip where we participated in workshops and seminars provided by people in the legal profession, including judges, criminal barristers, corporate lawyers, and police officers. This allowed me to gain a better perspective and investigate what it is like to pursue a career in law.
