Summary

I am 18 years old and previously worked for the past two years on a 400 head dairy farm in Dorset. During my time there i performed various tasks as a general farm worker both livestock and machinery oriented. I am keen and have a passion for farming, with this comes eagerness and a good work ethic, at which im prepared to work extra at peak times. I'm an easy going level headed and calm person, particularly when working with cattle and in stressful situations. I'm capable of working both independently and as a team. I take pride in my work and equipment with a maintenance of cleanliness and tidiness. I'm a mature and responsible person, at my previous workplace i was responsible for leading groups of the public to bottle feed calf's.

My tractor experience consists of: Mowing, Rolling, Topping, Shakerator Harrowing, Slurry Tanking and Trailer work such as a dump trailer or silage trailer and general tractor and telehandler work around the yard. With this i have a full UK driving license as well as a tractor license. I am also always looking to expand my experience with machinery operating. My experience with cattle consists of: Calving, Feeding and managing calf's, Herding cattle from pastures to the yard, Being responsible for the grazing by putting out fences, measuring grass, and forward planning, I also regularly assisted in various farm visists such as TB tests, Freeze Branding, Foot Trimming and Vet Visits. I've also experience in milking cows. Along with this i also partook in many manual labour tasks such as fitting the cubicles with new matress beds and removing the old sand cubicles, constructing an animal park and cafe at the farm, fencing projects and cow track projects.
