I have gained diverse fieldwork experience across several archaeological sites. At Lindisfarne, an Anglo-Saxon cemetery, I participated in post-excavation work by cleaning and identifying finds—mostly human remains, along with shells, beads, and other materials—while engaging with visitors to explain our work and the site's significance. I also volunteered at another Anglo-Saxon site in Norfolk, re-analyzing commingled human remains and entering data into a research database, and completed post-excavation work with my university's commercial archaeology unit. Additionally, I gained valuable digging experience at a Neolithic site near Dublin, excavating postholes and other features to further broaden my practical skills.
Career Break due to family responsibilities from 2004-2018 when I commenced my studies and followed a dream to retrain in the field of archaeology.
