
Highly motivated and compassionate final year social work student due to qualify in July 2026. Have accumulated significant statutory social work experience during placement across Children services and adult teams with Essex County Council. Previously worked in Education abroad over 10-year period (Zimbabwe Civil service as a teacher), in Retail sector for 5 years (John Lewis partnership/Waitrose as sales assistant) and Adult Social Care in Essex) as a Visiting Carer, completing over 10k home visits. Across these career experiences in education, retail and statutory placement learning opportunities, developed strong capability to practice in a person centred, strength based and outcome focused approaches, collaborating with service users, families, multi-disciplinary teams, community service providers and other professionals in promoting service users’ autonomy, independence, holistic wellbeing and safeguarding service users who face vulnerability in multi-agency environment. Committed to ethical practice, advocacy for social justice and human rights, practising in an anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive manner. Always making sure interventions are necessary, proportionate and in best interest for service users and adhere to laws and policies.
