Within this role, I worked in and managed a high quality bar within a restaurant, working alongside a strong team. Using a ticket-based system, We consistently prepared high quality cocktails and a variety of drinks while maintaining both speed and attention to detail in fast paced, high pressure settings.
the bar staff and I were responsible for bar preparation and organisation, including stock management, prepping ingredients, and creating cocktail syrups, garnishes, and other essential components required to ensure a smooth and efficient drinks service.
In addition, I used my knowledge of the bar and drinks menu to guide guests in selecting wines suited to their preferences, as well as adapting cocktails to match individual tastes.
With this role I provide tailored cocktail services for private events. I independently source stock, manage budgets, and design the event’s theme and desired atmosphere. Each event is organised with a clear plan in mind, tailored to the desired costumer atmosphere. In addition to this I also lead cocktail-making classes, blending hands on instruction with engaging storytelling and mixology techniques.
This particular role required me to learn and develop new skills that i will be able to utilise in any front of house environment. Within this role i mainly managed and organised customer bookings and affairs. The establishments extensive customer schedule, meant that i had to constantly stay on-top of all bookings at all times. This required me to understand what dining stage each customer is at, making last minute adjustments and rearranging bookings so that every customer had a comfortable and efficient time while dining with us. I throughly enjoyed the fast paced environment and being responsible for the overall efficiency of the customer dining experience.
Within this role I was accountable for conducing and managing a high profile bar. I was also responsible for preforming adept front of house duties for an esteemed company. The bar team and I were responsible providing customers with Food and drinks within the Bar area and manage customer affairs efficiently, making sure to maintain a high level of standard that was required of us. I also learned to effectively create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in order to encourage positive guest experiences and overtime develop positive relationships with frequent customers.
