I have gained almost 09 years experience in diagnostic radiography including many radiology modalities such as plain film,CT,fluoroscopy,Surgical theatre,Mobile,Cardiac catheterization Lab (cath lab).I started my carrier on 26.09.2016 in Teaching Hospital Jaffna.After completing almost 04 years period I was transferred to Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children on 28.02.2020. My duties and responsibilities in the department as follows.

1.Ensure the examination room is prepared correctly and the correct disposal of any clinical sharps , clinical waste.

2. Responsible for checking patient's details prior to the examination and ensure that such details are present and correct on the referral

form. Assess and justify examination referrals and to carry out specialist diagnostic imaging investigations. Carry out imaging

examinations to the required standard and without supervision.

3. Responsible for radiation protection of patients/carers/other Staff during procedures involving ionizing radiation in line with the

department local rules. Also responsible for Quality Assurance of work.

4. Maintain the highest quality of patient care and imaging also maintain confidentiality relating to the patients and trust at all times.

5. Accept responsibility for the patients in their care during the radiographic procedure.

6. Treat a workload of patients whilst maintaining a high standard of radiography and care of the patients.

7. Comply with the Trust's and Department's policies and procedures.

8. Undertake imaging examinations as an operator in accordance with the IR(ME)R 2017.

9. Practice all radiation protection procedures outlines in the Trust local rules under IRR17.

10. Ensure all equipments are used correctly and any faults are reported and recorded in room fault book. Responsible for training of

assistant practitioners , student Radiographers.

11. Liaise with a wide range of staff caring for patients.

12. Responsible to participate in the department's out of hour service and cover emergency duties.

13.Carrying out Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

• Upheld strict adherence to health and safety regulations, contributing significantly towards risk-free work environment.
• Liaised with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery.
