Act as a member of the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and deliver a high standard of Care within a Local Neonatal Unit
Care for extremely sick and premature infants that require intensive care, stabilisation and transfer to tertiary level care.
Support junior staff who are training in learning how to care for sick and compromised patients.
Taking charge of the ward on a day to day basis, managing a team of 8 nursing staff per shift.
Care of well infants who are ready for discharge, including assessments, observations, feeding, medication, bathing and sensory care.
Supporting families to look after their baby throughout their stay on the neonatal unit.
Parent education on caring for their child including bathing, feeding, medication administration at home and basic CRP in case required.
