Currently manage a case-load of National and Local clinical trials within the Women's and Children's Department. Line manage team members.

Lead Professional for four neonatal trials, two gynaecology trials, two fertility trials and two maternity trials.

Providing support to charities, individuals and organisations who wish to find the most relevant research questions, and have given my professional support to individuals who are applying for national grants to undertake these studies.

Set up, co-ordination and running of national clinical trials within the hospital setting. Set up includes liaising with different departments and individuals, creating processes for screening, recruitment and follow up of patients, ensuring processes maintain patient safety and adhere to protocol, reviewing documents provided by the study team and providing feedback and ensuring all regulatory documents required are provided.

Coordination and running of studies within secondary care. Extensive experience of running a wide range of studies, including observational, interventional and IMP. Recruiting time to target.

Extensive experience in using a wide range of data bases to collect large quantities of data.

Provide training locally to a wide range of staff on the studies. Extensive experience in producing educational materials and delivering effective training for staff of all levels.

Provide on-going support for staff to undertake tasks required of the studies we run.

Ensured smooth close down and archiving of studies at their end.

Act as a member of the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and deliver a high standard of Care within a Local Neonatal Unit

Care for extremely sick and premature infants that require intensive care, stabilisation and transfer to tertiary level care.

Support junior staff who are training in learning how to care for sick and compromised patients.

Taking charge of the ward on a day to day basis, managing a team of 8 nursing staff per shift.

Care of well infants who are ready for discharge, including assessments, observations, feeding, medication, bathing and sensory care.

Supporting families to look after their baby throughout their stay on the neonatal unit.

Parent education on caring for their child including bathing, feeding, medication administration at home and basic CRP in case required.
