• Clerking of new patients in A/E, referred to Medicine and initial management of these acute emergencies such as acute coronary syndromes, diabetic emergencies, acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease etc.
• Attend crash calls and participate in resuscitation of cardiac arrest patients
• Participating and making contributions in board rounds/ handovers daily, alongside other members of the team.
• Daily ward rounds with the consultant and other members of the team.
• Assessment of patient(s) clinical conditions, review charts, investigation results, and medications.
• Ensuring accurate documentation and implementation of management plans by liaising with nurses and other staff.
• Requesting appropriate investigations, interpretation of results and drawing up management plans, to be reviewed by the supervising consultants.
• Drafting discharge summaries for all my patients prior to discharge.
• Sending referrals to relevant specialties via phone calls and writing.
• Patients with chronic and debilitating diseases like post CVA, cancer patients, elderly bedridden patients and neuro-cognitive dis-orders are usually assessed for home care and palliative care.

• 2. INTERNAL MEDICINE (Cardiology Unit and Emergency Department)
• A. Clerking, physical examinations and presentations to my seniors. I ensured that all the new patients at the clinics and wards were clerked.

• D. Actively participated in management of cases under adequate supervision
• E. Writing and delivery of consults to other units. Attending to consult with other members of the team when invited to review a patient.

• D. Labour ward: monitored normal labour, carried out induction, stimulation, augmentation of labour, and took deliveries under supervision.

• F. Procedures learned and performed under supervision include: episiotomy repairs, urethral catheterization, IV cannulation, speculum examination.
