I joined Tameside Hospital as a locum doctor in December 2024, I have worked at ST2 level in acute medicine/general medicine. I was part of the on-call rota. Important aspects of my duties:

• Identified life-threatening conditions promptly, initiating a quick response from medical teams.
• Covered the wards and worked in the gastroenterology ward.

• I worked as a senior house officer (ST1) in the department of acute medicine in Bangor hospital (Ysbyty Gwynedd) for the last 3 years which gave me a very good experience in dealing with complicated cases, being more efficient in dealing with acute take pressures and diagnosis of newly admitted patients.
• Being in the acute medical unit for the last 3 years made me aware of the ward management process and team work ethics.
• I have a strong experience in dealing with Geriatrics as they represent the majority of patients in North Wales.
• I was responsible for clerking and assessing newly admitted patients, attending post take ward round with consultants and conducting ward reviews for admitted patients (mostly with minimal supervision).
• I have good knowledge in the fields of Microbiology and haematology as part of my degree in Clinical pathology 2008 . It gave me a more depth in understanding the disease processes which has helped me in providing better care to my patients .

• I worked part-time at the Ahfad University of Women-Sudan as an assistant professor for 6 months including the lockdown period.
• I joined Soba Teaching Hospital and Khartoum Medical Laboratory as an attachment for 3 months- July 2019-October 2020 and November 2020 respectively.

• Working in the laboratory gave me great experience and exposure to quality control and taught me about the role of the lab in patient’s care

I had maternity leave due to having my first two sons in 2006 and 2007 consequentially.
