I’m an 18-year-old sixth form student currently studying Politics, Sociology, and Business. Out of the three, Politics is my favourite subject because it feels especially relevant to my everyday life and helps me understand how the world works—particularly in the UK.
I enjoy working as part of a team and feel I thrive in collaborative environments, though I’m also confident working independently when needed. In my free time, I’m usually at the library revising for my upcoming exams or at the gym, which helps me stay focused as im always trying to better myself.
I'm currently looking for a part-time job that fits around my school and gym schedule. Although I have commitments, I’m willing to be flexible and committed to making it work. i have a positive mindset and always try to uplift those around me, especially my colleagues. I don’t like seeing others stressed or upset, so I do my best to stay optimistic, even in challenging situations. I'm also patient with customers and believe that a calm, friendly approach makes a big difference in creating a good experience for everyone.
During my time at Creams, I carried out a multitude of responsibilities that required strong multitasking and customer service skills. I greeted and communicated with customers, guided them to their seats, and ensured they felt welcomed. I also operated the till, accurately taking and processing orders. In addition, I worked at the front of house preparing and serving food, trying to maintain high standards of presentation and hygiene. When needed, I supported the back of house team by washing dishes and keeping the kitchen area clean and organized. This role helped me develop adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to stay efficient under pressure.
Working at a corner shop improved my communication skills through daily interactions with customers. My role involved operating the till, assisting shoppers, and handling heavy lifting for stock deliveries—building both customer service and strength for work.
