I believe hard work and resilience are the key factors to any success I have achieved.I am a third-year BSc Biomedical Science student(IBMS) and a part-time NHSPBank staff member as a Medical Laboratory assistant. I undertook a trainee BMS placement year last academic year at Manchester Foundation Trust Hospitals in Haematology and Transfusion. I have completed my Registration portfolio and now awaiting verification. I have had the opportunity to present at IBMS congress student event ,by exposing young students to the diverse and impactful world of healthcare we can empower them to dream big, pursue their passions and make healthcare careers more accessible to young mind. I always approach any task with enthusiasm and an open mind to learn, gain experience and perform to the best of my ability. I am a forward-thinking, adaptable and conscientious individual. I have a record of exceptional attendance and excellent timekeeping. I meet deadlines effectively and in addition to this, I possess good communication skills and take criticism and instruction positively. I have a kind approachable and confident manner that enables me to relish a challenge and progress both professionally and mentally. I was course representative for Biomedical Science and an elected well-being officer of my University's Biomedicine Society. Alongside my studies I tutor children looking into STEM career paths and have a keen focus on supporting my Sixth form students on the IBMS accredited career pathway for Biomedical scientists. I am currently now helping mentor the new induction of placement students to share my knowledge and support those who may face the same challenges I did during mine.
