• Rotated through General Haematology, Coagulation, Red cell and Transfusion and completed competencies from band 2/3 to 5. Band 2/3 roles focused on routine tasks and sample preparation with an emphasis on the pre-analytical phase of laboratory work.
• The advanced scope of practice while training as a Biomedical scientist allowed me to complete specialist training in Coagulation, where I was able to independently run batches of specialist testing for Factor testing, Lupus anticoagulant screening, and Inhibitor screening. I also attended INR clinics to adjust the warfarin dosage of haemophilia patients alongside other clinicians. (MDT).
• Completed Sysmex Caresphere academy training on XN and CN -series analysers detailing their principals , maintenance , results and interpretation.
• Actively support the induction and training of new staff members.
• Performed blood grouping and antibody identification for safe transfusions(under supervison).

Competent to work out of hours; night, late and early shifts
- familiar with downtime procedures and have worked out of hours during downtime.
Day to day duties include
Processing samples according to departmental SOPs, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Performing complex manual and automated tests on 'precious' samples (e.g., neonatal or limited-volume samples).
Selecting appropriate reagents and calibrators for laboratory tests
Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including automated analysers.
Performing routine calibration and quality control checks on equipment.
Assisting in blood product inventory management, including checking expiry dates and stock levels
Handling telephone enquiries regarding sample and product availability from clinical staff and external facilities.
Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and infection control procedures

• I began my training with The Tutor Trust to tutor children in deprived areas who did not have access to tuition but were greatly benefited by the National Tutoring Programme
• I continued for 2 exam seasons and then began my own business
• I tailor my tuition both to students' academic needs and provide guidance on career paths such as Biomedical scientists (IBMS pathways), Medicine (A level/MCAT prep) and Computer Science
• Intense training to provide outstanding tuition to KS3 GCSE students and level Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as BTEC assignment support
• Tutored up to 15 students a day and tailor each session to the child's learning style and needs
• Provide enjoyable quality learning to pupils and ensure all safeguarding and legal requirements are met
• Keep a strict timetable of lesson planning and monitor students' progress imminently after each session

• I was responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the exam board courseworks examination process
• Managing the logistics of coursework marking including, coordinating invigilator marking, supporting schools with the sending of materials to our centre and resolving any issues with the process
• Communication was a key asset I employed as my team was of 12 people and we were solely responsible for handling tens of hundreds of pieces of coursework
• Maintenance of accurate records and reports of logistics and projection processes
• Keeping up to date with changes in examination regulations and guidelines
• Identifying areas for improvement and team development as well as promoting a healthy workplace culture of diversity and equality
