I currently work as well at a pub called Moonraker's, where I work behind the bar both in pub and Saturday nights in the function room. During my Time working for this establishment I am further improving my Team work, face to face Customer service, communication, and knowledge of drink preferences for each customer, giving a quicker and friendly service with each pour. Also Resolving customer complaints promptly to maintain good relationships. Adapting quickly to different situations maintaining efficiency even under pressure. Maintaining a clean and organised bar, enhancing customer satisfaction. Checking identification of customers to ensure legal drinking age compliance, and Recommending drinks to customers, increasing overall sales. I also have skills with changing barrels.
I am currently working At Dobbie's Garden Centres in the restaurant serving and providing exceptional customer service, I work as part of a team to make sure people have a enjoyable and memorable day either its for meeting old friend getting a coffee or family outings for amazing meal. We all strive for a successful day. The skills I'm currently learning or improving while I'm working here is communication, team work, attention to detail both with customers and with the cleaning aspects, also we follow a robust cleaning schedule and procedures highlighted from the company's needs. where we have certain colour coding's and areas we keep cleaning products to provide a safe working environment. I have had training on stock taking and delivery's as well as making coffees and drinks.
During my time there I was working under the Food and Beverage Services, at a local 3 star hotel and restaurant, on a zero hour basis. My responsibilities were greeting, providing detailed knowledge of menu's to all clients, being adaptable and flexible to cover and assist either the front or back of house departments.
During my project my internship allowed me a platform to use my existing skills from art collage, and apply them into other mixed mediums including graphic design. My creations was then sold for a nominated charity, assembling and editing promotional videos, designing a website to further promote the sales of my creation to a wider customer base.
For two weeks work experience at the end Nov 2019 to Dec 2019 , I assisted my Aunt with a Private Builders Clean. This position was unpaid but a chance to experience an insight into the world of Contract Cleaning. The job was an extension completion by builders for one of her clients.
The duties involved cleaning the entire extension before the soft furnishing arrival date . Time Management was critical, and also delivering high cleaning standards to the client.
Working with the Head Chef and his brigade, in this very popular public house, my main responsibilities was delivering a high cleaning standard to the crockery and cooking sections of the kitchen. I also had to obtain produce when requested by the chef to ensure the kitchen ran smoothly for the customers.
Working within this busy environment it was critical that I managed my time well to keep ahead of demands and to ensure all Health and Safety procedures within the kitchen environment were followed at all times.
This position was temporary covering holiday leave, but was happy to have gained a valuable insight into a busy catering environment. which further improved my communication skills, working within a team, following instructions promptly.
