  • Completed a one-week work placement at Windsor Estate, gaining insight into the day-to-day management of a large, publicly accessible estate. Worked across multiple teams including Arboriculture, Forestry, Property & Estate Management, Grounds Care, and public-facing operations.
  • Responsibilities included supporting public safety and access management during ash tree felling operations, assisting in café and retail operations. Contributed practical suggestions that were adopted by estate teams, and received consistently positive feedback from staff across the Estate.

  • Contributed to the delivery of harvest across the 3,000 hectare farming enterprise, building on extensive experience from previous arable roles. Worked as part of a large, coordinated operation involving two large combines, grain trailers, and lorries, supporting efficient grain movement, logistics, and turnaround during peak periods.
  • Supported wider farm infrastructure development by assisting the farm dig team with large-scale yard expansion works. Excavation and relocation of several hundred thousand tonnes of soil, hardcore, and chalk. Operated a 30-tonne Volvo dumper and contributed to planning and execution. Ensuring works were completed safely, efficiently, and in line with operational priorities.

Operated within a six-combine team (four S-series and two John Deere X9s), taking responsibility for a S790 with a 45-ft header. Despite minimal initial guidance, maintained high machine reliability, achieving the lowest repair costs among the S-series combines.
  • Assisted in managing a major bushfire affecting over 6,000 hectares, liaising with local fire authorities and working as part of the emergency response team. Contributed to delivering a record harvest in near-record time through strong teamwork, adaptability, and effective machinery management.

  • Key responsibilities included daily maintenance and checks of tractors, trailers, and associated equipment; assisting with OSR drilling; fertiliser and seed loading and transport; and carrying out margin topping and hedge cutting around fields and gateways in preparation for cultivation and drilling.

  • Significant involvement in the dairy unit, assisting with calving and rearing of approximately 200 Holstein calves, including welfare checks, feeding, bedding, tagging, and weaning as well as livestock handling and transport. Managing up to 50 calves simultaneously during peak periods.
  • Managed chopped straw supply and operation of the straw chopper, and supported nutrient management through fertiliser spreading and spray operations. Assisted with grass and maize silage campaigns, including contractor liaison, additive application, and clamp rolling.

Each winter, assisted with the care and lambing of approximately 300 ewes, supporting lambing, post-lambing checks, and routine husbandry tasks such as foot trimming, tail docking, and castration.

  • Responsibilities included daily livestock welfare monitoring; calving of 50–60 Jersey cows; assisting the vet with procedures such as dehorning, castration, and debudding; and carrying out routine health checks including TB testing support, pregnancy diagnosis and daily hoof inspection.
  • Managed milking operations and parlour hygiene in line with health and safety requirements, alongside general farm maintenance tasks such as feeding, bedding, scraping out, and fencing.

During lockdown, established and ran a small gardening business alongside studies at Shuttleworth College, managing client relationships, scheduling, and day-to-day workloads. This demonstrated initiative, time management, and the ability to balance work with education., An active and motivated individual, with several years playing rugby as scrum half for Ampthill, developing teamwork, communication, and resilience under pressure. Enjoy taking on new challenges and learning unfamiliar skills, including flying lessons in a single-engine Cessna and various vehicle-based experiences. I maintain a practical interest in mechanical work through assisting with maintenance on a TVR with my father., Interests also include various methods of fishing, with experience in the UK, Spain, and Australia, reflecting confidence in challenging environments and displaying strong situational awareness.
