Work history

Logistics Coordinator

VUBA
  • My initial role at VUBA was logistics coordinator for our UK pallet network distribution. This was an exceptionally fast-paced and high-pressure role, overseeing over 100 tonne worth of material distribution per day. I developed the ability to work to extremely tight deadlines and think critically to minimise and resolve issues. I was able to adapt to any situation and work extremely hard to ensure smooth distribution and customer satisfaction.

Transport planner

VUBA
  • In this role, I manage our own vehicles, alongside more complex and difficult third-party deliveries. In this role, I have developed the ability to build extremely good relationships with both our own truck drivers and third-party companies, demonstrating a strong networking ability and interpersonal skills. I further developed my ability to remain flexible and adaptable in any given situation, able to think on my feet and successfully plan and execute complex and high pressure delivery solutions.

Operations supervisor

Easihold
  • I was given the opportunity to work with Vubas sister company, Easihold, a Kings award winning business. I had the responsibility of managing a struggling production facility, while improving vital output, overhauling operating processes, and streamlining office operations and transport procedures. Through this, I gained vital management and leadership skills and successfully oversaw the installation of half a million pounds' worth of new machinery. I demonstrated an ability to work proactively, successfully implementing new production plans and processes, optimising workflow, and more than tripling the warehouse output per day. This role demanded full end-to-end management, from ordering materials to successful customer delivery, providing a vital link between the office staff and the warehouse staff providing successful solutions to any challenges that arose.

Office Assistant

Graham Stuart MP
London
07.2023 - 07.2023
  • After completing my A-levels, I undertook work experience with my local MP in Westminster. In this role, my responsibilities included answering departmental emails within a target timeframe, responding to queries and concerns from constituents and researching alternative opportunities to hold a community event in the constituency. This role required me to demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.

Bar Staff

Soju
Beverley
10.2022 - 04.2023
  • From graduating until April 2023, I worked behind the bar at Soju, Beverley to earn the money required to fund my travel. Within this role I have improved my customer interaction skills, as well as learning to work efficiently and effectively to achieve customer satisfaction. The interchangeable nature of each shift has also taught me to adapt and improvise to ensure my work remains of a high standard. I returned to Soju upon completing my travels, as they held open my job and asked me to rejoin the team upon my return from Asia.

Work Experience

Fasken UK Law Firm
London
01.2023 - 01.2023
  • In January I undertook legal work experience in the London office of Fasken. Within this role I developed my research and analytical skills by researching and investigating companies on Companies House and analysing the memorandum and articles of association of each company. I researched partnering law firms and confirmed each partner's details and role within the company, requiring diligence and exceptional eye for detail. I also researched preliminary contract drafts between companies in order to aid the partners of the firm to draft a suitable contract for the current case they were working on. The intensity of the office and the number of simultaneous tasks to be completed required me to communicate in a professional environment, work under a strict time frame and effectively manage my time to complete multiple tasks to a high level before the required deadlines.
