- Customer relationship management-I believe for this role it is vital to be able to communicate effectively with customers and present yourself as a passionate and helpful individual in order to ensure brand promotion and a happy and supported customer Throughout my experience I believe this is already a strength of mine due to having to deal with both students and parents on a professional level whilst also being compassionate and trying to meet their needs and dealing with customers in a work environment to ensure they have experiences at the best level and feel fulfilled as they leave
- Conflict de-escalation or problem solving-I am not unaware that this role may offer challenges at times However, in the past during my teaching I have faced difficulties for example, making an environment inclusive and supportive to a young dancer with SEND or having to quickly respond to a dancer forgetting her competition dance on stage In a retail setting, I have dealt with unhappy customers and provided as much support as I could to reduce the negativity of the situation and ensure their needs were met and the situation was resolved positively I have managed to respond effectively and remain composed and productive within these situation and therefore I see this as highly transferrable for this workplace
- Outgoing and enthusiastic-I believe I am quite a dedicated individual who sets quite high standards for myself and I believe this will be effective within this workplace as I can use this to try be the most supportive and welcoming team member and ultimately meet customer needs
- Product display setup-I am a very neat and tidy individual who likes things to be pleasing on the eye During my previous role, I always had an eye for detail and the organisation of displays to the highest of standards that were easy to shop and regularly complimented I believe this fits great within this job role as I am able to use this to ensure shop displays are captivating and organised correctly
