Thomas Young

I have always found engineering fascinating even before I knew what it was called, all the way through school, collage and now university I have been working towards becoming an engineer. This is my dream career and has filled my spare time. An example of this is a project I undertook which was to build a KJ66 turbine engine, simply because of my fascination perhaps obsession with how they operate. The feeling when I first successfully started it still puts a smile on my face to this day. Now that I am at university all of the concepts and theory I have learned about over the years is staring to come together and I cant wait to continue to learn through facing challenges. My passion for engineering has also taken me to other countries such as Ukraine where I had the amazing opportunity to work for Front Line Kit and help them to develop there own drone interceptor.
