Thomas Pettigrew

I am a reliable individual with a strong work ethic and keen interest in agricultural work. I have skills in manual labour and teamwork, along with strong problem-solving abilities and aims to contribute to farm productivity and operational success. I have always enjoyed working and keeping busy as I am not the type of person who stays inside all day, I like to be active and have a job on. I have had this attitude from a young age as I got my first job when I was 13. I have a keen interest in farming and agricultural work and would like to be able to experience what it is like to farm in other countries such as USA and Australia. I would like to learn about the scale of the farming over seas and how it is different to farming in the uk. I enjoy working with a team of people and have effective communication between people, I like meeting new people and creating new experiences for myself. I also don’t mind working on my own for periods of time such as when I’m in the tractor at my current job

I have been a keen ice hockey player since the age of 13. I enjoy being part of a team and working hard towards a common goal. I was the captain of our under 18s team and helped motivate other players in my team and keep morale high even when we lost games.

I also enjoy travelling to new places, me and a small group of friends like to travel to different city’s and explore there culture. A recent trip we went on was to wales, where we climbed up the highest peak, snowdon. We have planned a lot more mountain to climb in the future
