Thomas Maddocks

I have owned and managed a small chimney sweeping business since 2022, maintaining, installing and cleaning log burners/open fires in the local area building excellent relationships with the local community.

I am looking for full time employment as the security of this is what I require to support my family moving forwards.

During this time I supported at home with our young son whilst my wife completed her full time Masters in law followed by a Dr of law. Following this I started my own small business once she secured her job position in a local well established solicitors.

I began this journey as a support worker, working with vulnerable children aged 4-17 who have suffered the most severe abuse/neglect imaginable. I quickly raised through the ranks within the organisation making senior within 8 months, Deputy manager within 18 months and registered manager within 3 years. During this time I displayed excellent leadership skills, managing a team of 29 with 8 children placed with us on a semi permanent basis.

I grew into a strong resilient individual who thrives under pressure.
