I am currently studying applied science level 3 at York college, and would like to venture into the world of employment. I am a reliable and enthusiastic person and am willing to work flexibly. I currently work as an FA Referee, employed by the North Riding FA, and also have work experience with Indigo Greens estate agency, and most recently as a festive colleague at Tesco, working with at the checkouts. My work as a Referee requires me to make lots of decisions in a time-limited environment. It also means I have the experience of liaising with adults around decisions I have made, and the expectations I have of them. Working at the tills at Tesco has given me good customer service skills as well as improving communication skills, asking how peoples days are going etc as it might be the only human interaction they have that day, or even that week. I have experience handling cash and dealing with it securely (checking for fraudulent notes etc). The role has also given me experience communicating and cooperating with colleagues to consent the selling of alcohol and other items, and taking appropriate action when someone looks under 18 (think 25 procedure). I am an adaptable and flexible team player with strong time management and organisational skills. A quick learner, I'm confident in meeting tight deadlines in fast-paced environments. I take my own initiative to complete tasks and identify process improvements.
