Once my SIA license was granted, I got stuck into other events and went on to work at BBC Radio One's Big Weekend in Liverpool just weeks later.
Upon receiving my license, I was overwhelmed with the amount of work being offered to me for the festival season of 2025, I have been placed on some major events this year including Download festival, Glastonbury festival and the F1 Silverstone Grand Prix weekend which I am looking forward to completing to the best of my ability.
I have gained certificates in lots of security related courses such as both ACT (Action Counters Terrorism) courses, handcuff training and emergency first aid.
I started my journey in the roofing industry as a labourer when I was 17 and quickly progressed through the years to become a roof tiler working for different companies over the years. I have led a team of people on lots of jobs and strongly believe that I am a great team leader.
Later on in my roofing career, I launched my own business which enabled me to gain experience in liaising with customers, builders merchants and more. I also developed upon my experience as a leader as I was in a managerial position and had lots of responsibilities such as pricing up jobs for customers, hiring excellent staff and teaching new skills to labourers.
Throughout my time in the roofing industry, all the way from labourer to business owner, I have had lots of responsibilities and gained a lot of experience in lots of different areas including, loading and unloading materials to help maintain the supply level for the tilers on hand, I have completed roof repairs to enable to safety and comfort of customers by completing work to the highest possible standard, preventing water leakage in customers homes achieving safety for the customers I provided for, I have great communication skills and have upheld an excellent professional conduct at all times, I have achieved customer satisfaction by completing all assigned jobs in a timely manner, I adhere to all policies and procedures including health and safety which enables myself and any other staff to work in a hazard free environment.
After completing my GCSE's and leaving school, I applied to work part time in my local Sainsbury's where I gained lots of life experience as it was my first job. I gained experience in communication with customers as well as other staff members, I understood how to work as part of a large team and lots more. I was punctual, polite and always adhered to the staff code of conduct. I spent most of my time loading and unloading lorries making sure that I competed this efficiently, safely and accordingly.
