Over the last six years I have independently managed a busy case load of patients in private practice. I have worked with patients with a variety of conditions, sometimes over a period of weeks or months or years. I aspire to take an holistic approach that is guided by the individual needs of the each patient. Primarily, my function in this role is in the assessment and diagnosis and treatment of neurological-musculoskeletal conditions such as:

- Working as an autonomous practitioner in providing musculoskeletal physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations, complex physical and psychological conditions.

- Undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients using advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition, and appropriate treatment plan.

- Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatment programme based on a sound knowledge of evidence-based practice and treatment options using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills.

- Formulate accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive discharge plans, including appropriate referrals to other specialities.

- To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive and treatment records in line with CSP standards of practice.

- To supervise band 5 and student physiotherapists record keeping system according to professional and the physiotherapy service standards.

- To participate in CPD and other developmental activities.

- Work within trust clinical guidelines and CSP guidelines and to have a good working knowledge of national and local standards.
