Maritime Experience

M/Y Lemon Tree 63m (Charter/Private) Mediterranean & Caribbean- Feb 2024 - Dec 2025

- Joined the vessel as a Deckhand and remained onboard for 23 months, operating across dual Mediterranean and Caribbean seasons in both private and charter programs. Gained extensive experience supporting approximately 18 weeks of charter activity alongside multiple owner trips, delivering a high standard of guest interaction and service in fast-paced environments.

- Responsible for maintaining the vessel’s exterior to superyacht standards, including washdowns, polishing, teak care, and detailed upkeep. Regularly assisted with all core deck operations such as docking, anchoring, line handling, tender driving, and watersports setup, contributing to safe and efficient day-to-day operations. Including solo night operations at anchor.

- Completed two Atlantic crossings, taking part in watchkeeping and passage operations, and building strong seamanship and offshore experience. Also involved in multiple shipyard periods supporting maintenance projects and working alongside contractors.

- Demonstrated strong reliability, adaptability, and team integration over an extended period onboard, maintaining consistent standards across demanding charter schedules, owner use, and yard periods.

M/Y Sibelle 70m (New Build) Deckhand - June 2023 - Jan 2024

- Joined towards the end of the build project, assisting with the vessel’s transition from shipyard to operational status. Based in Amsterdam during the final stages, supporting deck organisation and maintaining the vessel to a high standard.

- Completed delivery from Amsterdam to the Mediterranean via Gibraltar, followed by a 4-week owner trip operating primarily from the South of France, including cruising around the Cannes Islands.

Following the season, carried out winterisation procedures and ongoing maintenance, including washdowns, polishing, teak care, and routine weekly and monthly checks, ensuring the vessel remained in top condition during the off-season.

M/Y Norn 90m (New Build), Temporary Deckhand - April 10th 2023 - May 19th 2023

- I joined M/Y Norn towards the end of the build where I assisted with organisation and transition over to operations. I helped with loading onto the boat and unpacking and organising the vessel so that it was ready and operational for the season. I partook in many drills which included firefighting, rescue swimming/boat and helicopter operations. We also took a trip to Norway, which along the way we had multiple pilotages, so I helped with getting the pilots on board and off safely. I also spent time in the twin screw outboard tender, which I was confident driving. I also practiced my splicing and whipping while on board.

M/Y My Legacy 56m, Temporary Deckhand - February 2023 - March 2023

- Completed a one-month shipyard period, supporting maintenance and refit works. Carried out sanding, polishing, and surface preparation, ensuring the vessel remained at a high standard for contractors. Assisted with safety drills, including BA exercises and rescue boat operations, along with routine maintenance of emergency equipment.

M/Y Fandango 40m, Deckhand - March 2022 - November 2022

- Completed a shipyard period, gaining hands-on experience with Sikaflex application, stainless polishing, and minor gelcoat repairs. Operated on a busy private programme with extended owner trips across the Mediterranean, including the Balearics, within a small crew environment.

Confident in core deck operations including jet tender driving, anchor watch, washdowns, detailing, and general maintenance. Maintained high standards throughout demanding periods, often taking the lead on deck tasks, and supported across departments as required, including assisting interior during busy owner use.

University Royal Naval Unit (URNU) - Deployments

Completed multiple deployments onboard an Archer Class P2000 patrol vessel, operating around the UK and Irish coastlines. Gained early experience in navigation, chartwork, radar use, and ECDIS, contributing to passage planning and bridge operations.

Participated in practical seamanship tasks including mooring operations and Man Overboard drills, developing a solid foundation in teamwork, situational awareness, and safe vessel handling.
