Experienced maritime professional with a background operating high-speed vessels in the English Channel, now looking to transition into the yachting industry.
I bring strong navigation skills, watchkeeping experience, and hands-on leadership managing crew in challenging conditions. Used to working long hours in high-pressure environments, I’m safety-focused, adaptable, and comfortable taking responsibility while supporting a professional onboard team.
Keen to apply my skills in a yachting role and continue developing within the industry.
Currently working towards my MCA Master 200GT
I’m currently the Master onboard BF DEFENDER working in the English Channel on migrant rescue operations. I’m responsible for the safe running and navigation of the vessel and manage a crew of six, while also working alongside six Border Force personnel during operations.
The job involves making decisions in fast-moving and high-pressure situations, coordinating search and rescue work, and making sure everything is carried out safely and in line with maritime regulations.
I worked as a Mate onboard BF RANGER in the English Channel, assisting the Master with navigation, watchkeeping, and the safe operation of the vessel during migrant rescue patrols.
I helped manage the crew on a day-to-day basis, supported tasking during operations, and made sure procedures and safety standards were followed.
The role also involved coordinating with Border Force personnel, carrying out safety checks, and supporting search and rescue activity in busy and demanding conditions.
I began my maritime career as a deckhand on wind farm support vessels, where I gained hands-on experience with deck operations, vessel safety, and day-to-day offshore work. My role included assisting with mooring, transfers, basic maintenance, lookout duties, and supporting the crew during operations.
Working in this environment gave me a strong understanding of teamwork, safety procedures, and life offshore, and set the foundation for my progression within the maritime industry.
