I’m currently the Master onboard BF DEFENDER working in the English Channel on migrant rescue operations. I’m responsible for the safe running and navigation of the vessel and manage a crew of six, while also working alongside six Border Force personnel during operations.

The job involves making decisions in fast-moving and high-pressure situations, coordinating search and rescue work, and making sure everything is carried out safely and in line with maritime regulations.

I worked as a Mate onboard BF RANGER in the English Channel, assisting the Master with navigation, watchkeeping, and the safe operation of the vessel during migrant rescue patrols.

I helped manage the crew on a day-to-day basis, supported tasking during operations, and made sure procedures and safety standards were followed.
