• Presently working as full time GP partner.
• Scope of practice involves both clinical and Managerial roles.
• The Clinical roles involves management of both acute and chronic medical conditions, i see all patients from all ages.
• Day to day clinical activities involves consultation with patient, making diagnosis, initiating investigations where appropriate, interpreting results and making appropriate referrals to secondary and tertiary care.
• I have special interest in diabetes and Care of the Elderly, i work closely with the community team to deliver top notch care to our Geriatric population.
• The Managerial/Leadership roles:
• I worked in a large suburban practice with over 30,000 patient list. In conjunction with other partners and other senior managers , we look after the staffs both clinical and non clinical.
• I am the prescribing lead for the practice, i oversee compliance to national and local prescribing guidelines via audits and systemic searches of the record. I also represent the practice in meetings relating to medication prescription.
• I also provide supervision and mentorship for GP registrars, Medical students as well as other Allied health workers in the practice.
• I am also the Research lead for the practice, i overlook all the research activities that we have signed up for.

I have continued to work in the acute/emergency setting because i enjoyed this and i have vast experience working in emergency clinical settings. The acute settings is the out of hours for the Primary care, i work in the evenings and weekends when i am able to. I worked as OOH GP in various locations across the Norfolk county ( Kings Lynn, Dereham, Thetford, Norwich and North Walsham). I sometimes work via telephone triage from home. It mostly entails seeing acutely ill patients, sorting

emergency prescriptions and triaging cases for 111 service, calling the ambulance for patient if needed and referring to different specialty for further management.

• I worked as a 6 clinical session salaried GP in this organization, the scope of practice includes but not limited to consultation with patient of all age groups and background to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan . Initiate investigations where appropriate , interpret result, liaise with my hospital colleagues for referrals as appropriate.
• Depending on the Rota , i also do weekly call duty where i attend to all the acute emergencies for the day.

I worked as a GP registrar in the Vocational Training Scheme , i rotated through Accident and Emergency, General and Acute Medicine, Rheumatology ,Neurology and Psychiatry.
I Spent 18 months rotating through various Family medicine practice centers. I worked with a team of other junior doctors
in the front-line assessing various clinical emergencies and admissions. I gained
experience in managing minor injuries, minor and major medical, surgical, gynecologic and obstetric, Psychiatric and Pediatrics illnesses and emergencies.
I was actively involved in care of patients needing urgent care and
resuscitation, liaison with relevant and appropriate specialty teams and learnt the necessary diagnostic , management and communication skills that would make me an excellent
a family physician.

As a RMO, I was posted to different hospitals like Nuffied in Cambridge, Brentwood, Norwich, Leamington Spa, Tumbridge Wells. Spire Hospital in Bushey and Liverpool, Sancta Maria hospital in Swansea.

Duties vary from hospital to hospital but essentially involves:

• Pre and Post operative management of patients.
• Emergency admission of oncology patients pre and post chemotherapy
• Lead the cardiac arrest team and other duties as assigned by the Clinical director.

• Attended to cases at the surgical outpatient clinics, surgical emergencies at the emergency unit.
• Carried out elective surgeries as operator and assistant, emergency surgeries,ward rounds and case follow ups.
• Collation of data for scientific and surgical grand round presentations
• Teaching of interns and medical students
• Other duties as assigned by the supervising consultants.

• Attended to paediatric,gynaecology and obstetrics, medical , surgical and psychiatry cases in the general outpatient clinic.
• Attend to both medical, surgical, psychiatry and obstetric emergencies.
• Lead the team in trauma response to mass casualties.
• Attend to administrative duties like coordinating multidisciplinary meetings, creating monthly rota, annual budgeting etc

During this compulsory one year service to my fatherland, I worked as a medical officer in the Accident and emergency and the Paediatric department where my roles include but not limited to :

• Resuscitation and stabilisation of surgical and medical emergencies
• Prompt referral to the appropriate team

• Developed many clinical abilities within internal medicine, paediatrics,Surgery and Orthopaedics, Obstetric and gynaecology and Psychiatry.
• Part of a multidisciplinary team providing care.
• Active participant in ward rounds and presented cases at clinical meetings.
• Assisted in many procedures like Caesarean sections.
• Participated in Research activities, teaching and administrative jobs
