Fundraising for World Scout Jamboree

11.2022 - 08.2023
- I set up and managed my Go Fund Me page for raising money by climbing Mt. Snowdon. This portrayed my resilience and organisational skills and working independently.
- I organised and hosted 2 quiz nights alongside fellow scouts. I wrote the quiz questions and delivered them on the night. This shows my ability to work as part of a team, and leadership skills.
- I gave a take at Platinum Skies Retirement Village to present them with information about the World Scout Jamboree, and welcomed questions about why and what we would be doing. The result was receiving goods to sell and donations. This showed my confidence in communication and explanation.
- Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed when working with customers at a Burns Night fundraiser in which I took orders, served, prepared the hall and welcomed guests.
- The result of my fundraising was that I raised well over the targeted £4000, which allowed for me and a fellow scout from a lower income country to attend South Korea for the Jamboree.

- I completed my Level 4 Emergency Aid Scouting Badge in order to be a efficient and safe young leader.
- I would plan activity evenings for the scouts at both my own and nearby scouting facilities which shows my ability to communicate effectively in unfamiliar surroundings.
- Assisted with less confident scouts on camping trips, including aiding setting up tents, cooking, setting up campfires etc. This shows my ability to notice when others need help and aid accordingly.
- I promoted a culture of respect within the scouts and had to interject when there were disagreements. This shows I have good listening and resolution skills.
