Working as a Yard Operative driving ADT 's around the plant taking various size stone from under conveyor belts to stock piles and to loading bays ready to be loaded onto the trains.

Loading ADT's and 775 Rigid Dumpers via Cat 980k, 982M shovels from around the plant and stock piles.

Visual inspections of plant and machinery, reporting any defects via T cards and verbally to supervisors in order to reduce down time and costs to company. Greasing of Bearings and plant machinery, general cleaning duties in and around the plant.

Quarry operative duties include driving of 775 Rigid Dumpers taking stone from the quarry face to the Primary Crusher.

Driving Cat 988K Loading Shovel, loading Dumpers from the face or from stock piles.

Starting to load from the face via Hitachi 980 excavator

Running of Mobile Crushers producing MOT & 6F5 loading via a 530 Hitachi and 349 Cat Excavators.

Breaking of Pop Stones with a Breaker on a 349 excavator.

Running the Primary Crusher via a computer system in the control room.

Visually inspecting,greasing and daily checks of mobile and static plant & machinery.

Skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility.

Providing shift cover on the Articulated & Rigid Dump Trucks.

Tractor Driver (Fuel and Water bowser duties).

Daily duties included carrying out Servicing of mobile plant and machinery at the appropriate hours in order to keep the machinery efficient and down time reduced to a minimum.

Replacement of Bearing, repairs to conveyor belts, removal and reinstatement of hydraulic & electric motors & pumps.

Changing of screens and repairs.

Welding, Burning & fabrication works to enable productivity of machinery (Stick & Mig)

Clean down of walkways and machinery to comply with H&S legislation and company Requirements

Daily Maintenance duties on Static & Mobile Plant, Bearing changes, Conveyor belt repairs & assist in the removal & reinstatement of new belts.

Provide shift cover to Breedon in order to maintain minimal downtime. Welding Burning & Fabrication works.

Servicing of mobile plant and the Fitters trucks.

Changing and repairing of screens to fixed plant & mobile yard screen.

24/7 on call service

Employed as an Articulated & Rigid Dumper truck driver at Breedon Dowlow Quarry Daily duties: Inspect mobile plant (ADT's & 775's) for any defects in the body structure, tyres, camera systems and to daily check Engine and Hydraulic & Transmission fluid levels before the shift starts.To work alongside the Shovel driver in moving different types of aggregates around the yard, to the relevant stockpiles and to the Rail Bays. Daily removal of the cake from the press houses to the Cake Tip, quarry side. To show new starters around the yard to and advise on different products and their locations. Shift cover in the quarry on the Rigid Dumpers running from the face (various locations) to the Primary crusher & to cover from 2pm onwards to reduce as much down time as possible when shifts are short of staff.
