I have three years’ experience working in the hospitality sector, including eight months as a waiter, where I developed strong communication, organisation, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment. The role required accuracy when taking orders, handling bills, and processing payments, helping to build strong attention to detail and confidence working with numbers — skills that align closely with cost measurement, estimating, and financial control in Quantity Surveying. Regular interaction with customers and colleagues strengthened my ability to communicate clearly and professionally, while resolving issues under pressure developed practical problem-solving skills.
