I am an creative professional with a pleasantly pragmatic manner. I have extensive experience working in schools an in the creative industry. I am organised and versatile: always ready to muck in. Whatever the level of my student I want to give them the tools to continue their creative development beyond the classroom.
SFG serves a community with a wide range of needs and ability. I was responsible for creating, delivering, and refining lessons which allow me to give each student the opportunity to thrive. As part of the Art, Design, and Food Technology faculty I worked with my colleagues to share my skills as an art specialist, and expand my knowledge in design and food tech.
As a teacher I balanced my commitment to delivering the curriculum with the responsibilities around safeguarding and working with students with SEND needs. I kept my training up to date, and had a good working relationship with both the SENco and the Pastoral team.
At ISCT I taught KS3 Art and Design. While ISCT is based in South Africa it follows the Cambridge International curriculum, which is similar to that of the UK.
I was responsible for setting and delivering the Art and Design Curriculum for Year 7 and 8, and advised on GCSE and A level Art coursework.
