As a teaching assistant I worked as part of a team, collaborating with teachers and parents to successfully aid students with their development. My responsibilities included supporting the teacher in the classroom, or small group setting, supporting students in identified areas, language, behaviour, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting/ presentation and I.C.T. I have taken small groups of pupils with learning difficulties for sessions of intense work to aid their development within the classroom. Some of which had autism spectrum disorders and other conditions supporting different needs. I trained to teach the Read Write Ink program supporting students with SEN, liaising with the class teacher, Senco and external support. In addition I have carried out administrative tasks, photocopying, basic record keeping, word processing and collecting small sums of cash.
