  • I love reading and being creative. My daughter is diagnosed with ASD and I spend my free time researching neurodiversity to gain extra knowledge, including attending groups and liaising with other families who are going through difficulties, supporting and gaining advice. I love walking in the countryside, especially with my children and my dogs.

Having grown up with a sister who has ASD, it inspired me to want to work in this field. I left university knowing I wanted to support children and their families who face daily struggles. Going into agency work was the best thing I could have done to gain extra knowledge and experience. I have since progressed to being the manager of an SEMH alternative provision. I find this job extremely rewarding, whilst it is challenging, I love this job and being that person that makes that positive impact to both children and their families. My daughter has recently been diagnosed with ASD, which has impacted my knowledge and experience further.
