Summary

I have over 10 years of nursing experience predominantly consisting of vaccination and immunisation roles, ranging from travel health, baby clinics, flu clinics, covid clinics and maternity vaccines. I have developed a wealth of knowledge and advanced skills around vaccine administration, planning, overseeing and carrying out vaccine clinics within clinical and community settings. I most recently completed a secondment as Deputy Team Manager for the maternity vaccination service at Birmingham Women’s Hospital providing me with valuable experience within a leadership role. I particularly enjoyed mentoring and supporting the team. I developed my knowledge and skills around the day to day tasks involved in managing a team, managing rota’s, sickness, absences, and completing the appropriate documentation such as; return to works, annual reviews and auditing. I would attend monthly review meetings with NHS England where I would analyse and present data regarding vaccine uptake and contribute to the planning and implementation of the service objectives going forward. Overall this experience has given me a wealth of knowledge and skills which I am keen to expand and develop.
