Summary

  • My current role as a CNS of a new service for Neuro Rehabilitation has been varied and rewarding. The service is a new initiative working with the local ICB to continue a persons rehabilitation in their own homes from tertiary care as part of an MDT team.
  • I have been instrumental in it's development and running, identifying and creating and delivering training materials and competencies for support staff for their role within the team. These include bespoke sessions specific to each service user, ranging from Brain injury to anaphylaxis, PEG feed and neurological conditions.
  • I have developed a positive relationship with the support staff through their training and supported them in service users homes with new skills and competencies and have been managing the rostering when required.
  • My hard work has not gone recognised as I recently received an award from the business for my commitment and determination in getting the service off of the ground.
