Deputy manager in a 7 bed service for individuals living with autism, learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour. As deputy manager I have worked hard with the registered manager and staff to achieve organisational goals and also to support our residents to achieve their own personal goals, aspirations and have the best quality of life. I have been responsible for the day to day running of the home and also aspects such as ensuring high quality care, ensuring sufficient and safe staffing, management of budgets and resources and ensuring compliance within internal and external regulatory requirements. I have been responsible for carrying out the above supporting the registered manager but also, on occasion in the absence of a manager during my time in this role. During my time in this role I have also been responsible for supporting sister home Cherry Tree house, more so recently in the absence of a deputy manager, I have been working with the manager and offering support to residents and staff allowing me to build positive relationships with staff, residents and their families.

I was a CQC registered manager for 2 elderly residential care homes, one being 21 beds and one 18 beds. I worked along side a second manager to ensure management of all aspects of the home including ensuring high quality care for the residents, ensuring safe and efficient staff recruitment and management, management of budgeting and resources. ensuring compliance with regulatory standards to maintain registration status, developing care plans for optimised resident outcomes, conducting risk assessments and audits to uphold safety standards and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, to ensure holistic and person centred care.

During my time as Registered Manager I was subject to two regulatory inspections to which I achieved the following ratings from CQC: Ashlee- Good in all areas Aug 2019 & Camden- Good in all areas Sep 2019

Registered Manager Ashlee Resident Home, 21 bed elderly residential home. This was my first role as registered manager following a successful CQC fit person interview. during this role I was responsible for the running of an elderly home and ensuring that the residents I cared for had the best level of care. As part of this role I maintained detailed records to ensure accurate documentation of care provided, managed budgets and occupancy to maintain financial viability of the home, ensured collaborative working by creating positive relationships with residents and their loved ones the ensure for personalised and quality care, line managed staff members by monitoring Key Performance Indicators, overseeing appropriate training programme and providing supervision and feedback to staff.

During my time at Forest Manor nursing home I successfully progressed through the home from my starting role as a carer, to working with the nursing team as a nursing assistant.

As a care assistant I was responsible for providing exceptional care to elderly patients by assisting with daily tasks including personal care, pressure care, assistance with mobility and assistance with nutrition and hydration needs including modified diets. During this role I developed a passion for end of life care and ensuring this was dignified and personalised to each person I supported.

As a nursing assistant I worked with the RGN to manage the medical aspect of the home including administering medication, wound care and dressing and management of peg and catheter sites.
