Post graduation I was employed as a consultant physiotherapist in a clinic specialized for neurology, MSK, orthopedics, geriatrics, respiratory, pediatrics, and hydrotherapy. I was functioning independently with two junior therapists under my supervision assuming complete responsibility for a designated complex caseload. As an experienced practitioner, I was responsible for organizing, coordinating, implementing, and assessing the physiotherapy services offered to the patients with complex rehabilitation needs while collaborating on future planning for care and management with senior physiotherapist based on test findings and own clinical reasoning. I have good knowledge and experience in physiotherapy practice in various health care settings. Also, I have excellent skills in written presentations, organizational, interpersonal and critical appraisal skills. I am capable of taking on responsibility for a specific clinical workload, can deal with obese, bedridden, and inactive people in their mobilization, and can prioritize the task according to the situation and patient needs independently. I have the capability to identify the contraindications to treatment, and to appropriately manage them by speaking with senior clinicians and referring patients for additional testing that may necessitate emergency care, such as severe spinal pathology and fractures. I used to carry out local auditing and clinical effectiveness initiatives, which included formal clinical research projects. Also, I ensured that patient documentation and records were precise, thorough, and current, including mandatory statistical data that accurately represents the care delivered and complies with professional, local, and national standards. I demonstrate specific clinical skills as I have done a few CPDs namely, Manual therapy, Manipulation therapy, Muscle energy technique, Dry needling, Wheelchair training, Core strengthening and Cardiopulmonary resuscitation. During my clinical internship, my skills in manual handling and communication were honed which improved my confidence in assessing and treating patients. I was mentoring students during their clinical placements and was accountable for their formal evaluation. Thus, I have some experience in leading a physiotherapy team. I always strived to accomplish predetermined objectives while adhering to departmental and CSP standards. I have also done research in the effects of exergaming on the balance of patients with multiple sclerosis. I demonstrate an understanding of pertinent IT systems and software applications.
