Summary

Have always been focused and eager to expand my work skills and knowledge. Whilst I have always remained loyal and dedicated I am not averse to branching away from what I do well presently. I Joined my first Employer at the at of 16 years as a basic filing clerk. There was room to increase your knowledge and move to the next level within this role. At the age of 19 I was approached by the departmental manager to take on the role as the Admin Team Leader. This was a big challenge as this meant I was leading a Team of 20 individuals of all ages and all degrees of experience. This time was indeed challenging but brought me vital experience when dealing with many situations. I moved then to a more technical role which started my interest in training to be an Insurance Consultant. This was with Commercial Motor and you had to be able to communicate with your allocated Brokers. Some Broker Teams were considerably small to much bigger Broker Team set up. Literally you had to take responsibility to make sure the client base were looked after fully to there expected business needs. I did also have a small portion of work dedicated to Public Liability and Employers liability cases. Whilst very happy at Eagle Star Insurance the opportunity came to attend an opening evening with Direct Line. I took the offer of an interview as this would be a new direction to deal with Personal Motor Claims. I was fortunate to be offered a position staring on the 4.1.1994. The Company was very young differing ideas and revolutionising the Motor Market. I have embraced my 30 years service with the Group by actively getting involved in new ventures and projects were I could. This has enabled me to bring life skills to new starters. To embrace the company Charity Teams to reach out to the wider world and currently to have taken on the role as Credit Hire ERB representative. This brings me to the wider perspective of the business interacting with new and old members of the group.
