• Whilst on my apprenticeship at Wickstead Farm I gained more than just a level two in horse care
• What I built from my time there covers a vast range of skills and care for people, children and animals
• Some of my tasks were to care and look after the animals by insuring they were fed, watered, groomed, stables were clean and tidy
• This took a lot of physical strength and organisation to make sure everything was right for the animals
• It taught me a lot about patience and motivation to complete tasks I needed to do
• Part of my role there was teaching young children how to ride, this was also an enjoyable but patience building experience
• Being an enthusiastic and outgoing person helped me to give excellent customer service and give the parents value for money
• I would maintain standards held by the company while complying with multiple policies, procedures and regulations around working with children, animals and health and safety
• I have proven ability in this role to work independently and confidently with large groups of people
