I am a passionate about the automotive industry, I am currently studying Motor Vehicle Systems Maintenance at Barking and Dagenham College. Having completed Level 1 of my course, I have developed knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance, repairs and workshop safety.
I have practical workshop experience, teamwork and communication skills. As well as a positive attitude towards learning and development.
I would like to pursue this apprenticeship opportunity to fulfil my ambitions of becoming a qualified vehicle technician within Kwik-Fit.

Completed inspections of brake callipers, preventing rust.
Basic MOT testing of vehicles, ensuring head lights, indicators, hazard lights worked.
Checking that the electrical windows were functioning, ensuring the tyre threads met legal standards and requirements for driving.
Monitored test drives, in peers. Ensuring the vehicle was in working and in a drive-able condition as well as being safe and equipped necessarily to be deemed 'road-worthy'.
Tearing cars apart, removing rust, dismantling cars suspension parts, using wire brushes and brake cleaner to remove rust.
Used workshop tools and equipment provided, safely and securely including jacks, lifts, torch lights, spanners, torque wrenches, spring compressor, strut spreader tool, ball joint separator puller, shock absorber top mount, bush removal installation kit, wheel alignment, electronic air suspension, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
Worked independently and with fellow students to understand, gain knowledge and develop skills within the workshop.
Maintained a clean workshop and followed health and safety procedures on-site.
