Hi, this position was issued by my old secondary school (Eltham Hill School) as a mandatory two week work experience for under 16 year olds. I was placed with children aged between six and seven years.
During my time at the primary school I learnt how to teach children effectively, focusing more on English and Maths. This meant I was helping children better their handwriting and gain an understanding of addition, subtraction and division.
Supervised children with autism and ADHD to promote a supportive learning environment.
I often organised worksheets, books and toys for the teachers aiming to support the staff wherever I could.
I was also in charge of taking children to music lessons at certain times, ensuring that they weren't late.
This was voluntary work in which I did not receive payment.
During my time I prepared horses for riding, which included grooming and saddling them.
I administered daily feed and water to each specific horse, and I regularly mucked out stalls to support environmental measures and reducing possible viruses.
I also led horses to exercise areas and paddocks in order to promote fitness.
