SPECIAL INTERESTS

I have a special interest in minor surgery and joint injections and I plan to continue to develop these skills.

QUALITY IMPROVEMENT & AUDIT

  • Audit on bringing over-labelled medications to a ward that did not supply this meaning we could allow quicker discharges, and also allowed discharges to happen out of hours where over-labelled medications such as antibiotics could be given without requiring pharmacy approval of discharge medications.
  • Audit in A&E looking at the management of hip fractures and
  • QI project ongoing within the practice at the moment to move from dictating onto a software and secretaries typing referrals, to dictating directly into an email and having a dedicated email address to send the dictations to meaning they can be proof read before sending and directly copied into the referral, hopefully allowing for quicker and more efficient referrals and less delays.
