Work a variety of shifts including on call clerking, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), discharge summary shifts with focus on documentation, and supported ward work including patient reviews and acute care.

Day to day management of inpatients with a range of acute medical conditions. Took part in ward rounds and practical jobs. On-call shifts involved clerking medical patients presenting to the emergency department and managing patients independently out of hours.

Assisted in emergency and elective c-sections as well as gynaecological operations. Day to day work on post-natal ward.

Undertook surgical on-calls and managed acutely unwell general surgery patients with the available senior support.

Walsall, West Midlands Managed nephrology, dialysis and transplant inpatients. The ward was also an ITU step-down so gained experience in managing unwell patients and medical emergencies. Undertook medical on-calls including the medical take and ward cover.

Worked on a busy geriatric ward, managing elderly patients with multiple chronic conditions. Worked within multidisciplinary team.
