I started volunteering at The Wainwright shelter in 2019 and became apart of the team in 2021. My role includes:

• Cleaning the living spaces of the animals to meet hygiene standards.
• Giving medical treatment to animals with health issues.
• Taking care of sick and injured animals and providing them with the correct medical treatment and the correct environment for their recovery.
• Communicating any worries or concerns about the animals to other staff members.
• Ensuring that the animals are assessed properly and ensure that they go to the correct home.
• Ensuring that the animals are getting the correct amount of food and any specific dietary requirements for their health.
• Providing the animals with the right amount of exercise and enrichment.
• Providing regular health checks and assessments to ensure the animals are in good health.
