Sana Mumtaz

I am a motivated and responsible person with a strong work ethic and a desire to gain experience in a part-time role. Having recently completed my GCSEs, I am now looking to develop my skills in a hands-on working environment. I am reliable, organised, and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Throughout school, I have developed strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, which I am confident will help me succeed in a customer-facing or team-based role. I also took on the role of charity rep and acted with compassion and creativity to help plan events to raise money, whilst handling finances and sticking to budgets. I am enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and committed to providing excellent service in any job I undertake. I believe that I am an extremely friendly person and I am able to work well with other people.

• Developed key skills such as teamwork, communication, and independence through volunteering, physical activity, and a two-day expedition.
• Faced real challenges during the expedition, including getting lost, which required us to stay calm, think clearly, and work closely as a team to find our way.
• Built resilience and problem-solving skills by navigating difficult situations and pushing through physical and mental challenges.
• Demonstrated commitment by completing each section of the award over several months, balancing it alongside school responsibilities.

Outside of school, I enjoy both baking and reading. Baking provides me with a sense of calm and allows me to develop creativity, patience, and attention to detail- skills that are transferable to a professional environment. Reading is another passion of mine, particularly fantasy fiction. One of my favourite books is powerless by Lauren Roberts, which I appreciate for its strong character development and compelling narrative. Reading has helped me strengthen my focus, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
