Work history

Front of house

Lodekka
2023.07 - 2026.02
  • Worked hands-on as part of a rotating team of 3–9 staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Coordinated and motivated team members to ensure a consistently high standard of service
  • Prioritised tasks effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
  • Responsible for accurate cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) operations
  • Demonstrated strong awareness and compliance with licensing laws and regulations
  • Working at the Lodekka made me become good at working in a high pressure environment while remaining friendly, reliable and professional despite frequent obstacles that occur when working with the public. I gained experience in working under pressure and maintaining great communication skills with my colleagues and kitchen staff in order to keep the pub running effectively and create a satisfying experience for the customers.
  • My Tasks included:
  • I was responsible for keeping the bar in working order including barrel changes, pressure checks and keeping it as tidy as possible.
  • Taking orders for and serving drinks and food to customers in often busy and difficult environments especially during the Euros or sporting events.
  • Keeping good communication with the kitchen staff to keep updated on what food we may or may not be serving on that day.
  • Closing said bar at the end of the day and leaving everything in order for the opening staff the following morning.
  • Being flexible in my role and assisting my colleagues that may need help in other areas of the pub.

  • Responsible for conducting tests for both individuals and groups in a calm and reassuring manner
  • Communicated test procedure clearly and sensitively in face-to-face interactions with customers along with post-test advice and guidance
  • Managed customer service escalations professionally, ensuring concerns were handled with care and efficiency
  • Working in an unsupervised capacity, I was responsible for dealing with members of the public who’d booked COVID tests. The results of the tests would determine whether people could travel internationally, so I had to manage challenging customer service situations.
  • My tasks included:
  • Setting up and preparing the testing area at the start of the day.
  • Dealing with members of the public, many of whom did not understand the process or the implications of the tests.
  • Carrying out swab tests on people of all ages, from all backgrounds.
  • Accurately recording and cataloguing each test and result.
  • Managing my workload without supervision to ensure there was a steady flow of customers throughout the day.
