Sam Cox

For around two years I have worked at Yatton Rugby Club. For majority of my time working there I worked a glass collector and a cleaner to help maintain the bar. Recently as I am now 16, I am legally allowed to serve drinks to people at the bar. I have been serving drinks for 4 months and this has allowed me to develop skills needed for a new job. Due to this I have adapted to a high stress environment and evolved my multi tasking skills to keep customers satisfied. Whilst also doing my job to the best of my ability, I have also trained new coming staff to the best of my ability and now they are efficient and capable workers. As this job has a demanding environment, it has also helped me develop my communication skills to be able to help and understand customers.

My job also contained:

• Maintaining bar stocks, replenishing daily as necessary.
• Collected cash payments, processing and providing correct change and receipts using Point Of Sale systems.
• Clearing counters and disposing of waste and broken glass.
• Refusing drinks service to guests without appropriate proof of age.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.
