Education

BA (Hons) - Culture, Criticism and Curation

Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London | King's Cross, Camden | 09.2024

My degree examines how cultural objects acquire meaning, authority and value, and how institutions determine what is preserved, displayed and recorded. The course combines critical theory with applied practice, so alongside written analysis I have worked directly with archive material, produced public-facing interpretive texts, and delivered exhibitions with institutional partners. This has given me a working understanding of the protocols governing how objects are documented, handled and presented, and of the research process required to establish an object's context and significance.

  • Co-produced an exhibition drawn from Stephen Willats' 1972 West London Super Girls archive, displayed in the CSM library: cataloguing, records maintenance, research and public interpretation
  • Proposed dissertation tracing the transformation of artworks from cultural objects into market commodities. Examining how artistic value is constructed, mediated and converted into financial value, using Mark Rothko's market trajectory as a case study.
  • Student Representative , BA Culture, Curation and Criticism [Sept 2025 – Present]
  • Treasurer, Art Business Society [Sept 2025 – Present] Set and monitor the society's annual budget, tracking expenditure across events and approving costs before commitments are made. Negotiate speaker and venue costs, prepare funding applications, and reconcile actual expenditure against budget at the close of each event
